The fact that you’re reading this article means that you are looking for ways to improve your income. Like so many others, you’re finding it hard to make ends meet and want to make money online. You have no doubt also been enticed by one or more of those ‘get rich quick’ schemes that are so prevalent online.
For good reason, you’re also probably skeptical. If you’ve ever tried any of these ‘magic bullet systems, ‘ you will have already discovered that they all depend on two things: traffic generation and SEO. The other thing you will have discovered is that they want you to generate traffic and get high search engine rankings for them, not yourself!
It’s true – if you want to make a living online, you need to start using strategies that will build links, attract traffic and improve your search engine ranking. If you’re going to do that anyway, why not do it for yourself instead of someone else? If you follow their path, the lion’s share of the profit is going to go into their pocket, not yours.
‘But I’m just a used car salesman, ‘ you say. Isn’t that a marketable skill? You don’t need a PhD in IT to be an expert. IT junkies couldn’t sell a car to save their life. Whatever you do to make a living or whatever hobbies you may have, they can be turned into an online business.
Many people have been in their job for so long they know it like the back of their hand. They’re bored to death with it and since they’re so good at it, they forget that they had to learn their skill and that not everybody knows what they know. Take a TV repairman, for instance. You know what an LED backlight is, what it does and why it’s important. This information is no longer interesting to you, but to millions of TV viewers, it would be fascinating. They don’t even know what LED stands for, but they’d like to!
You not only know what LED stands for (Light Emitting Diode), but you also know what a diode is and what it does. Your knowledge could be the beginning of your new career, if you put it to use. Start small, say with a free blog site, and build your online presence slowly.
You might write your first article about Light Emitting Diodes. Talk about LED’s in detail to show your readers you really know your stuff. Follow up a week later with another article on another topic – graphic LCD, for example. Remember, your readers are novices, so don’t leave the basics out.
It won’t be a ‘magic bullet’ to success, but it will be a start. You will slowly build up a following and get a reputation for your expertise. You can then join an affiliate network or start getting paid for writing articles or both. Try it and see what happens!
